Good Morning Friends and Family!
As of Monday the second payment for Tiffany's trip has been submitted. The Final payment of 609 dollars is due on September 3rd. As it stands now we are still a bit shy of this amount, having 200 dollars saved and ready to send.
Tiffany and her MeMaw held a successful yardsale last weekend and we hope to hold one more this coming Saturday, put together with the aid of her Great Grandmother Evelyn, her Grandmother Debbie and Anita and many others who donated goodies to sell.
This will be the final financial hurdle to overcome. We have successfully raised not only the first two payments of over 1200 dollars but also her airfare and shuttle fees which had to be paid up front which was about 300 dollars.
Once we reach that benchmark all that is left is some time, a bit of preparation, some studying on Tiffanys part since she needs to be versed in government roles, some history and some current events, and voila..shes off to DC!!!!

Thank you again for everyone that has contributed, whether it be your donations, your time, and/or your support. It truely means a lot and helps us. As of the beginning of September we have finished paying everything that we needed and we have gone out and bought some nice, new, snazzy clothes for the trip. :) We are about two weeks away from take off, for the first time I might add. The excitement is being, I will be staying after with a exceptional teacher tomorrow so he can help me with some of the things I need to know. So again thank you everyone who has helped. I am really looking forward to this trip! :)
